Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has claimed that goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey needs to prove in training that he deserves his number one spot after making a second blunder in two games.
The shot-stopper made an error in Fabian Delph's opening goal before Manchester City went on to claim a 4-0 win at the Etihad Stadium.
"Wayne is going to have to show me this week in training," BBC Sport quotes Pardew as saying. "A mistake at Villa, he needed to respond today and made another mistake.
"The ball is in his court to keep out the other two goalkeepers but I need to see it in training, I need to see a reaction from him. I will give him that chance because he deserves it."
Palace have lost three of their last league games.
