Crystal Palace winger Jason Puncheon has praised manager Alan Pardew for having a positive effect on the team following their win over Manchester City.
The Eagles climbed up to 11th place in the Premier League table on Monday thanks to a 2-1 victory at home to the champions.
Pardew has steered Palace away from the relegation zone since he took charge in January, and Puncheon believes that the 53-year-old deserves plenty of credit for turning their fortunes around.
"The gaffer has given us belief that we can compete at this level and play in the way we have been doing," he told the club's official website. "We are always there working hard for each other and making sure that we battle for the points as a group and we showed that in this game. We have got three important results under our belts in recent weeks and other teams can see what we are about."
Puncheon scored Palace's second goal against Manchester City to take his tally to four for the season.
