Cameron Jerome has urged his Crystal Palace teammates to remain grounded after beating Premier League leaders Chelsea at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
A John Terry own goal helped the Eagles earn a 1-0 victory over Jose Mourinho's men.
The victory propelled Tony Pulis's charges five points clear of the relegation zone, but Jerome insists that the Blues scalp will count for little unless Palace achieve survival this season.
He told the club's official website: "In respect of who it's against, it's a big win, but it means nothing if we go to Cardiff next week and get beat.
"We can't get carried away. We know we've got seven games to go and we've got to make sure we put in the same level of performance for the rest of the season and pick up enough points to stay in the Premier League."
Pulis's men travel to South Wales next weekend to take on Cardiff City.
