Yohan Cabaye's first-half goal has given Crystal Palace a 1-0 victory over Southampton this afternoon.
The hosts started the game positively, as Southampton keeper Paulo Gazzaniga denied Cabaye in the top corner, before Connor Wickham found the former Gillingham shot-stopper with a headed chance from a corner.
Southampton almost broke the deadlock moments later, as Shane Long fired wide after reaching a long Victor Wanyama pass, while Palace keeper Wayne Hennessey pulled off an impressive reaction save to keep out a Steven Davis header.
Palace took the lead on 38 minutes when Bolasie picked out Cabaye from the right flank, leaving the French international to place a simple finish past Gazzaniga.
The visitors pushed for an equaliser after the break, as Long blazed an effort over the bar, before a powerful Oriol Romeu effort was held by Hennessey on the hour mark.
Alan Pardew's side could have added a second goal, as Bolasie picked out Wilfried Zaha from the left wing, only for the former Manchester United man to blaze his effort over the bar, before Gazzaniga produced a good save to keep out a Bolasie volley.
The Saints almost snatched a point before the final whistle, when Hennessey tipped away a Long effort, protecting all three points for the Eagles.
