After a goalless first period play was briefly suspended on the hour at Selhurst Park after a couple of bottles were thrown from the Millwall end.
Glenn Murray missed a golden opportunity to end Palace's goal drought fifteen minutes from time but fired his penalty over the bar after Paul Robinson had brought down Paddy McCarthy in the area.
Palace remain tenth despite the draw while Millwall drop one place to 21st.
