Crystal Palace and 10-man Norwich City played out a draw in their Premier League clash at Selhurst Park this afternoon.
Both sides had a slow start to the game as they struggled in the final third of the pitch to carve out any clear-cut opportunities.
However, in the 31st minute Palace came close to taking the lead as Jason Puncheon won the ball deep in Norwich territory. He crossed to the back post looking for Cameron Jerome but he could only scuff his effort wide.
The Canaries made Jerome pay for the miss as they took the lead in the 39th minute as Gary Hooper knocked a ball into the path of Bradley Johnson, and he powered an effort from 20 yards past Julian Speroni into the net, off the post.
Palace got themselves back in the game from the penalty spot seconds after Jerome saw an effort cleared off the line, as Leroy Fer pushed Mile Jedinak and Puncheon made no mistake converting the effort past John Ruddy.
After the break, Jerome threatened again as Puncheon raided into the box and cut the ball back to the striker on the edge of the area, but he fired his effort over the bar.
Norwich tried to move ahead again as Johnson threaded a through-ball to Hooper inside the penalty area, who twisted and turned but he couldn't beat Speroni with his low shot.
The Canaries ended the game with 10-men as Fer ended a miserable afternoon with a red card for a second bookable offence following a poor tackle on Jedinak, as the game ended all square.
