Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has confirmed that he has "no interest" in signing Newcastle United defender Fabricio Coloccini.
The 33-year-old Argentine has been heavily linked with a move to Selhurst Park in recent weeks.
Coloccini and Pardew worked together when the latter was in charge at Newcastle, but the Palace boss has made it clear that he does not wish to sign the centre-back this summer.
"Contrary to the rumours and reports circulating in the media, we want to confirm we have no interest in Fabricio Coloccini and although he remains my ex-captain and a great player, he will not be coming to Crystal Palace," Pardew said in an official statement.
Coloccini joined Newcastle from Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna in 2008 for around £10m.
