New Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis has suggested that he will sign new players during the January transfer window.
The 55-year-old joined the Premier League strugglers on Saturday after leaving Stoke City over the summer.
Pulis now hopes to add to his squad in the New Year as the club looks to avoid relegation from the top flight.
"There's an opportunity to wheel and deal in January," the 55-year-old told reporters.
"I spoke to the players today and I said we are underdogs but I know what it takes and hopefully I won't put this football club in trouble."
Pulis will take charge of the Eagles for the first time on Saturday when they face Norwich City at Carrow Road in the Premier League.
