Long-serving goalkeeper Julian Speroni is believed to be close to signing a new contract at Crystal Palace.
The 35-year-old's current deal at Selhurst Park was due to expire this summer and Premier League rivals Sunderland had apparently been monitoring his situation.
Eagles boss Tony Pulis recruited Welsh international Wayne Hennessey last January but is keen to keep hold of Speroni, who was named the club's Player of the Year last season as they defied the odds to comfortably secure top-flight survival.
According to Sky Sports News, Speroni, who has made 349 appearances for Palace since joining from Dundee United in 2004, is poised to pen a one-year extension at the London outfit in the coming days.
