Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Joss Labadie has been accused of biting an opposition player for the second time in just over a year.
The 24-year-old, who served a 10-match ban for biting Chesterfield's Ollie Banks last season, allegedly bit the finger of Stevenage's Ronnie Henry's during the Daggers' 1-0 League Two win yesterday.
Stevenage manager Graham Westley told reporters: "[Henry is] not in a good situation, he's in the treatment room and he's suffered quite a nasty injury.
"Ronnie was in a state of shock, you don't go on a football pitch expecting to lose your finger and Ronnie was horrified by what has gone on because it's a football match and he's nearly lost his finger."
Officers from Hertfordshire Constabulary spoke to Labadie at the end of the match and confirmed that they are aware of the incident.
