How Russia could line up against Denmark

:Headline: How Russia could line up against Denmark:
Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Russia could line up against Denmark at Euro 2020.
Sports Mole

Russia are expected to be without the services of defender Mario Fernandes for Monday's Euro 2020 Group B contest with Denmark in Copenhagen.

Fernandes had to be carried off the field on a stretcher after taking a heavy fall during the first half of his national team's clash with Finland on Wednesday.

The Brazilian-born right-back has been cleared of any damage to his vertebra but is unlikely to be risked for this match, meaning that Vyacheslav Karavaev could come in for a start.

Head coach Stanislav Cherchesov could otherwise decide to select the same side that took to the field for the important 1-0 success over Finland last time out.

Aleksey Miranchuk scored the only goal of the contest in Russia's second match at Euro 2020, and the 25-year-old is again expected to act as the support to loan forward Artem Dzyuba.

Russia will be through to the next round with a win, while a draw would also be enough if Finland fail to beat Belgium, so it is expected to be a considered performance from the 2008 semi-finalists rather than a frantic one.

Monaco's Aleksandr Golovin and Spartak Moscow's Roman Zobnin should both again line up in midfield, with Valencia's Denis Cheryshev set to be named on the bench.

Russia possible starting lineup: Safonov; Barinov, Diveev, Dzhikiya; Karavaev, Ozdoev, Zobnin, Golovin, Kuzyaev; Miranchuk; Dzyuba
