Christian Eriksen will reportedly discover whether he can return to football following a medical examination in October.
The 29-year-old collapsed and suffered a cardiac arrest in Denmark's opening fixture at Euro 2020 this summer and has since been fitted with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator.
It was reported last month that the Inter Milan midfielder is "in excellent physical and mental shape" following a visit to the club's training complex.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Eriksen will have a check-up next month to determine whether he is able to return to the pitch.
Italian laws state that no person can participate in sport at any level if their heart has significant abnormalities.
Doctors from the Danish national team and Inter remain in 'constant communication' over whether Eriksen – who is currently in Milan with his family – can return to training.
