Derby County manager Nigel Clough has revealed that he wishes to add to the club's striking ranks.
The Rams finished in 12th place last season, but after Clough acknowledged that the Championship was more competitive than last season, he revealed that sealing a deal for a new forward would aid the club's chances of progress.
Clough told BBC Radio Derby: "If we can get another striker in, that would help us out.
"The league is stronger. Promoted sides have strengthened and the relegated sides have hung on to their players."
Derby begin their Championship campaign at home to Sheffield Wednesday.
