Derby County have signed James O'Connor from Doncaster Rovers for an undisclosed fee.
O'Connor has signed a two-year contract with the Rams after Doncaster were relegated to League One.
Derby manager Nigel Clough has expressed his delight with his new signing.
"He's versatile, can play right across the back four, and it's great to have someone like that," said Clough.
"He has good Championship experience and he's impressed us whenever we've faced Doncaster. We are delighted."
O'Connor made 242 appearances for Doncaster over a six-year period.
