Derby County have reportedly agreed to allow Chris Martin to join Sunderland during the January transfer window, but the forward is yet to decide on his next club.
Martin has largely been used off the bench this season, with just one goal coming from five starts and 18 substitute appearances in the Championship.
Derby are also well stocked for attackers, with Cameron Jerome just arriving from Norwich City, and it appears that Martin is free to leave the iPro Stadium.
According to The Chronicle, Sunderland have agreed terms with the Rams but will have to wait until the Scotland international has considered his options.
Chris Coleman is looking to strengthen his squad at the Stadium of Light, with the Black Cats sitting three points adrift of safety in the second-tier standings.
