Derby County striker Conor Doyle has joined DC United on loan until the end of the MLS season.
The 21-year-old American had been training with Colorado Rapids since May with a view to a loan deal to his homeland.
Doyle will link up with the Washington side, who sit bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference after 19 matches of the season.
Derby manager Nigel Clough told the club's official website: "It's taken a little while to get a deal sorted but we're pleased that Conor will be able to spend some time with DC United and get some games under his belt.
"He's at the stage where he needs to play some regular football to continue to develop as a player and we'll watch how he does with interest."
Doyle has made 23 appearances for Derby.
