Doncaster Rovers have confirmed the signing of Harry Forrester from Brentford.
The 22-year-old's move to Yorkshire has taken a little longer to complete than expected because of issues regarding how much compensation Rovers should pay the Bees.
He has now signed a three-year contract at the Keepmoat.
"There's a good core to the team here, we will have to add a couple of new faces which I'm sure the backroom staff are looking at now," Forrester told the club's website.
"The team and players that we have got here at the moment are good enough but with further additions we can give it a real go - it's not going be easy but have got to enjoy it."
If Doncaster and Brentford's final-day showdown last year had gone a different way, Forrester would be playing in the Championship with the Bees, who missed a late penalty and allowed Donny to break clear and steal the League One title.
That left Brentford in the playoffs where they were defeated in the final by Yeovil Town.
