Doncaster Rovers have turned down an offer from an unnamed club for striker Billy Sharp, according to manager Dean Saunders.
The 25-year-old's future has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks with Fulham, Wigan Athletic, Leicester City and Hull City all said to be interested in his services.
Saunders has admitted that it will be difficult to keep hold of the former Sheffield United centre-forward beyond this month.
"We've had an offer that's not met the asking price," the boss told BBC Radio Sheffield. "I'm hoping he stays but obviously he's got a clause in there and they're circling like vultures."
Sharp joined Rovers in 2010.
