Pascal Chimbonda has moved a step closer to joining Doncaster Rovers.
The club have signed the French defender subject to his passing a medical, according to Sky Sports News.
The 32-year-old defender, who was released by Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season, has previously played for Wigan Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers.
New Doncaster manager Dean Saunders is also thought to have his eye on bringing El-Hadji Diouf to the Keepmoat Stadium.
Doncaster currently sit at the bottom of the Championship table with five points from nine games.
