Dundee United striker Nadir Ciftci has been charged by the Scottish Football Association following his side's draw with Celtic in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals.
Cifti escaped punishment after appearing to kick Scott Brown in the head during Sunday's 1-1 draw at Tannadice Park.
Dundee's Paul Paton and Celtic's Virgil van Dijk were both sent off in the ensuing melee, though both clubs have appealed those dismissals.
Cifti could now be banned for two matches if he is found guilty by the SFA.
"The club will review the evidence ahead of the 3pm deadline on Wednesday once it has received the full documentation from the Scottish FA," read an official statement from Dundee.
Dundee are back in action against Celtic again on Sunday when they meet in the Scottish League Cup final.
