Dundee United boss Jackie McNamara has insisted that his side deserved their 1-0 win over Ross County in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
United moved up to second place in the table as Gary Mackay-Steven's second-half goal separated the teams at Tannadice Park.
Dundee have now won their last five consecutive matches in the top flight.
"The most important thing is the three points," Sky Sports News quotes McNamara as saying. "I thought we kept plugging away at them, we were very patient, but we got our just rewards in the game.
"We could have had a few more goals, but the good thing is we're creating chances, and from me as an ex-defender, it's good to get a clean sheet."
Dundee continue their Scottish Premiership campaign on Boxing Day when they take on St Mirren away from home.
