Dundee United have reportedly agreed a deal to sign ex-Queens Park Rangers defender Coll Donaldson on a free transfer.

Donaldson made an impression under former R's boss Harry Redknapp when the West London club were promoted to the Premier League.

However, since the Hoops' relegation from the English top flight, the Daily Record claims that United have moved for the defender after he was released.

Tangerines' boss Jackie McNamara is said to be a long-term admirer of the starlet, who joined QPR from Livingston in January 2014.
