Everton have reportedly made an enquiry for Dundee United forward Johnny Russell.
The highly-rated 22-year-old has already enhanced his growing reputation this season by finding the net three times during his three SPL appearances.
Toffees manager David Moyes has bolstered his side's attacking options this summer with the additions of Steven Naismith and Kevin Mirallas.
According to Sky Sports News, Moyes is keen to add one more striker to his squad before Friday's transfer deadline and he has identified Russell as a player that interests him.
Despite being named in Craig Levein's squad for Scotland's friendly with the USA in May, Russell has yet to win a senior international cap.
