Segunda Division 'B' side Eibar have held Athletic Bilbao to a goalless draw in the opening leg of their Copa del Rey tie.
Eibar matched their hosts throughout the match but the La Liga side will be favourites to progress when the second leg takes place at their San Mames Stadium.
Bilbao were generally on the back foot during the first half, with goalkeeper Raul Fernandez-Cavada Mateos being forced into several saves to keep Eibar at bay.
Fernando Llorente was one of several star names that were included in Bilbao's starting lineup but none of them could inspire their side to nick a goal that would have been cruel on Eibar.
The result is likely to heap more pressure on manager Marcelo Bielsa, with Bilbao only sitting in 16th place in the La Liga table.
