Hertha Berlin have registered a comfortable 2-0 victory over 10-man Eintracht Braunschweig in the Bundesliga.
Eintracht, who sat rooted to the foot of the league table prior to kickoff, were faced with an uphill task in their quest to move away from the bottom after 20 minutes, as Adrian Ramos headed the visitors ahead following a neat cross from Ronny.
The hosts went into the interval trailing by the goal and with 10 minutes remaining the capital club doubled their advantage through Tolga Cigerci, who finished a swift counter-attack to establish daylight in the scoreline.
Any hopes of staging a comeback were extinguished soon after, as Timo Perthel picked up his second booking of the game.
Eintracht remain bottom of Germany's top flight, while Hertha climb up to seventh.
