A statement on Eintracht Frankfurt's official website has confirmed that Oka Nikolov has been released from his contract.
The 39-year-old goalkeeper, who has been with the German club since 1994, reportedly has offers from a number of MLS outfits.
"Because of his long merits and outstanding performances for the club, Frankfurt agreed to grant him his wish after a 20-year commitment and with great regret to release him from his contract," read the statement.
The Macedonian added: "Eintracht is my one and all. But throughout my career I always had the dream of playing in America to widen my horizon and I want to fulfil this dream now."
Nikolov's contract was due to run until next summer.
