Elgin City booked their place in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Challenge Cup with a 2-0 win over Alloa Athletic on Wednesday evening.
Marc McKenzie went close in the first period before chances fell to both Michael Chopra and Edward Ferns, but neither side were able to find the elusive breakthrough in normal time.
Craig Gunn netted from the penalty spot after Mikki Reintam had committed a foul inside the area on 103 minutes.
It was then left to McKenzie to seal the result from the spot in the second half of extra time after Dougie Hill brought down the Elgin man.
