England are level with Croatia at the halfway stage in the second leg of their Under-21 European Championship playoff and currently on course to qualify for the finals.

England Under-21s are well on their way to the 2015 UEFA European Under-21 Championship after scoring a crucial away goal in the second leg of their qualification playoff against Croatia.

After fighting back to win 2-1 at Molineux in Friday's first leg, Gareth Southgate's side moved two goals clear in the tie with a goal inside the first 10 minutes at the Stadion Cibalia in Vinkovci.

Leicester City centre-back Liam Moore scored it, heading home from Tom Carroll's corner to put England 3-1 up on aggregate.

Croatia had created a chance of their own before Moore broke the deadlock, but Chelsea youngster Mario Pasalic was denied by Jack Butland's full-stretch save.

The hosts did pull level on the night seven minutes before the interval when Marko Livaja, who scored Croatia's goal in the first leg, fired across Butland and into the far corner.

As things stand, England will go through, but Croatia need one goal to send the tie to extra time and two to win it.

Whoever comes out on top will qualify for next year's finals in the Czech Republic. Join us for live text coverage of the second half on Sports Mole by clicking here.
