Beth Mead has been named England Women's Player of the Year for 2021-22 following her Euro 2022 heroics.
The 27-year-old was one of the stars of the Lionesses' historic run to European Championship glory during the summer, claiming the Golden Boot courtesy of her tally of six goals and five assists.
Mead's contribution of 11 direct goal involvements in just six games also saw her named the player of the tournament as England were crowned European champions for the first time.
The Arsenal attacker has now also been rewarded for a memorable year by being named the England Player of the Year, making it a double for the Gunners after Bukayo Saka scooped the men's award.
The award marks a significant turnaround in form for Mead, who was left out of the Team GB squad at the Tokyo Olympics following an underwhelming 2020-21 campaign.
Mead was also named Arsenal's player of the season for 2021-22, having scored 11 goals and created eight more as her side finished just one point behind champions Chelsea at the top of the Women's Super League table.
