England striker Andy Carroll has said that he is feeling fit and confident ahead of the Euro 2012 championships.
The 23-year-old rediscovered his goal-scoring touch for Liverpool towards the end of last season, which included heading the winner in the FA Cup semi-final victory over Everton.
Carroll, who has endured a difficult start to his Anfield career, believes that a run in the first team has done the world of good for his confidence.
"I feel fitter now than I did at the beginning of the season or even halfway through the season," said Carroll. "I just needed that run of games.
"Now, I'm feeling good and fresh. At the end of the season I felt like I was moving a lot better and getting involved in games more than I did at the beginning and it feels great."
Carroll, who has four caps to his name, arrived on Merseyside for £35m from Newcastle United during last year's January transfer window.
