Ashley Young believes that his budding partnership with Andy Carroll could work well for England at Euro 2012.
The Manchester United winger revealed that he has been working with the Liverpool striker during training in order to develop a better understanding of each other's game.
That work paid dividends on Saturday when the two linked up for Young to score the only goal of the game against Norway in Oslo.
The 26-year-old said that Carroll is great to work with and believes that he will score goals for the Three Lions.
"Andy is a strong player, he is a fantastic player to play with, to have in the team," said Young.
"You saw him get in the box in the first five minutes and get his head on the ball. He is going to get in the box and score goals.
"We knew each other's runs, and the goal came from a one-two, and it was good combination play. It was worked on throughout the week and it paid off."
England face Belgium at Wembley on Saturday in their final warm-up game before travelling to Poland.
