The Football Association are reportedly planning to contest a UEFA charge against England's supporters.
The governing body began disciplinary proceedings against the FA because of the "inappropriate behaviour of their supporters" in the wake of Danny Welbeck's winning goal against Sweden on Friday evening.
While the FA accept that there was a surge towards the front of the stand, they will argue that this was merely an act of celebration from the fans, rather than an attempt to enter the field of play, according to Goal.com.
Should their defence prove to be unsuccessful, the FA are likely to be punished with a fine.
