Gary Cahill demands unbeaten campaign

Defender Gary Cahill demands that England stay unbeaten for the rest of their Euro 2016 qualification campaign ahead of the final two games.

Gary Cahill has called on England to ride the crest of a wave into Euro 2016 by staying unbeaten for the remainder of their qualifying campaign.

Harry Kane and Wayne Rooney netted second-half goals as the already-qualified Three Lions beat Switzerland 2-0 at Wembley last night to maintain their 100% record in Group E, having won all eight of their qualifiers.

Rooney also reached 50 international goals to break Bobby Charlton's all-time record, but Cahill says that it is time for the team to take centre stage and has earmarked victories over Estonia and Lithuania next month to round off the campaign.

"For us it's massively important," the Chelsea defender is quoted as saying by the Daily Mail.

"We've done the hard work in qualifying. Now it's personal pride at stake. It's us wanting to set a record. That's our main goal now."

England host Estonia on October 9, before rounding off the campaign with a trip to Lithuania three days later.
