England manager Roy Hodgson has reportedly opted to drop Jamie Vardy and James Milner to the bench for their opening Euro 2016 game against Russia on Saturday.
Both featured during the pre-tournament friendlies, but after a lacklustre 1-0 win over Portugal last week, Hodgson is considering a change.
According to The Telegraph, Vardy and Milner are likely to be axed from the first XI, with Raheem Sterling and Adam Lallana coming into the fray in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
A report in The Times claims that captain Wayne Rooney will sit behind lone striker Harry Kane, while Tottenham Hotspur pair Dele Alli and Eric Dier will be positioned centrally in midfield.
It has been widely reported that Jack Wilshere and Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson will miss out.
