Theo Walcott has praised Wayne Rooney after the forward equalled Sir Bobby Charlton's all-time England goalscoring record.
The 29-year-old scored from the spot against San Marino to net his 49th strike for Three Lions to join Charlton in first place, and could break the record in his side's next match against Switzerland.
Walcott believes that Rooney's accomplishment is down to his hard work and commitment on and off-the-field.
"What can you say? Wayne has been doing it for years," Walcott told reporters. "It just shows how established he is as an England international and a Manchester United player.
"He is so good in that dressing room, he is a winner. In training, he always wants to win - never wants to lose.
"He just wants to improve and improve this team. He has that belief in this dressing room that this young talent can actually go on and do something special and I believe that too."
England qualified for Euro 2016 as a result of their victory over San Marino.
