EURO 2024 GROUP C PREDICTION
England labouring to a friendly win over Bosnia-Herzegovina - even if the scoreline in the top-left hand corner did read 3-0 - and losing to Iceland did not inspire a world of confidence among the Three Lions faithful, who come up against three group foes who are no pushovers by any stretch.
However, with a near fully-fit squad at his disposal, Southgate ought to witness his side top the section without too much fuss, triggering an intense three-way battle for the second knockout position.
Last year's beaten semi-finalists Denmark should nab the runners-up spot behind England, thereby condemning Slovenia and Serbia to early exits, although the former nation are in terrific form and not to be taken lightly.
Slovenia finishing third or indeed second is not beyond the realm of possibility, but on this occasion, we expect them to agonisingly miss out and settle for fourth, as the attacking talent at Serbia's disposal should help them avoid finishing dead last while also accruing enough points to progress as one of the best third-placed outfits.
