Aaron Lennon is eyeing a return to the England fold after completing a permanent switch to Everton on transfer deadline day.
The winger, who has been capped 28 times for the Three Lions, wants to revive him international career at Goodison Park, and the ex-Tottenham Hotspur wideman has revealed that it was one of the reasons behind his decision to move to the Toffees.
He told the Liverpool Echo: "[Getting back in the England squad is] is definitely one of my aims, 100%.
"I didn't have a good run of games for the last maybe couple of seasons until I came back up here, but hopefully if I can get a great run of games in the team and get a good run out it's definitely my aim to try and push for an England spot again.
"I haven't played pre-season games but I've trained a lot and I feel really good. I'm in good condition, so once I get the game time in I don't see why not. I've trained near enough every day this season so I'm in good shape and raring to go."
Lennon spent the second half of last season on loan with Roberto Martinez's men.
