Former Real Madrid and Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has claimed that Alan Pardew would be a good choice as the next manager of England.
The Crystal Palace manager has earned praise for the work that he has done since taking charge at Selhurst Park in January and has been linked with the Three Lions post as a result.
It has been reported that current boss Roy Hodgson will step down following Euro 2016, and Ancelotti has suggested that Pardew should be considered to replace him.
"If England wanted an English manager after Hodgson, Pardew is really good and I think he is the best option to be manager of the national team," the Italian told The Independent.
"I think he is the best candidate. Pardew is really good. He did very well at Newcastle and is doing a good job at Crystal Palace. At this moment, Pardew is one of the best managers in England. He is doing really well."
Palace are currently sixth in the Premier League.
