Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster is optimistic that he will start England's friendly with Scotland at Celtic Park next Tuesday.
Forster has been in fine form for the Saints as of late, conceding just five goals in 11 Premier League outings so far this season.
Joe Hart is expected to be given the nod for the Three Lions' Euro 2016 qualifier with Slovenia three days before their trip up North.
However, Forster, who spent four years with Celtic, is relishing the possibility of earning the number one shirt for a return to his old stomping ground.
"It had been a great start to the season for me personally, and a fantastic start for us as a club," the 26-year-old told Sky Sports News.
"It's just a case of turning up and seeing what happens, really. It is up to the manager what team he goes with.
"I haven't really given playing Scotland any thought. If it happens, it would be brilliant, but it is out of my control and I can only worry about what I can control, really."
Kickoff in Glasgow is scheduled for 8pm.
