England captain Steven Gerrard has praised his side's discipline during their 1-0 friendly win over Belgium yesterday.
The match was England's last warm-up game ahead of this summer's European Championships, and Gerrard believes that it was an important test ahead of the Three Lions' opener against France on June 11.
"It's good - it's the test we needed. We've got over a week now to dust ourselves down and recover and get ourselves ready for France," said Gerrard.
"I think France is going to be similar. A performance like that is going to be needed, if not a little bit better. We're going to have to be very disciplined and workmanlike without the ball. I thought we were solid. We restricted them to very few efforts on goal.
"Let's not underestimate Belgium. Even though they're not in this tournament, they'll be at the next World Cup and they'll be some team."
Gerrard made his England debut in 2000, and has since gone on to win 91 caps for his country, with Euro 2012 set to be his fifth major international tournament.
