England midfielder Steven Gerrard will undergo a scan on his injured knee on Monday, but is expected to travel with the squad to face Sweden on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old picked up the knock in Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Sunday and it had been feared that he would be out for several weeks.
However, the experienced midfielder reported for England duty on Monday, although he will undergo a scan before travelling with the rest of the squad.
If selected, Gerrard will win his 100th cap for his country on Wednesday.
