Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has claimed that it was important for England to maintain their winning mentality by beating Scotland 3-1 in Glasgow.
The Arsenal midfielder opened the scoring as Roy Hodgson's side secured a sixth successive victory, and Oxlade-Chamberlain was delighted to see the team carry their form from Euro 2016 qualifying into the game at Celtic Park.
"After the World Cup we learned that without wins and results the team gets nowhere," the 21-year-old told the Football Association's website. "The main thing for us is to get results on the table in our group and if it's a friendly we want to win that as well.
"Having a winning mentality is going to be important for us going forward.
"Games like this tonight are massive for the country and massive for us as players but as a team it's important we win them."
Hodgson's side do not return to action until the Group E clash with Lithuania on March 27.
