Wayne Rooney has admitted that he will never forget the memory of winning his 100th England cap after captaining his country to a 3-1 win over Slovenia.
The striker was presented with a golden cap by Sir Bobby Charlton before kickoff and scored the equaliser as the Three Lions came from behind at Wembley.
Danny Welbeck's double completed England's comeback on a night which Rooney will remember forever.
"It's a great feeling," he told reporters. "It was a big week and a great occasion - it's something I'm really proud of to walk out as captain with my two boys on my 100th game. I'll remember it for the rest of my life."
Rooney's 44th England goal took him joint-third with Jimmy Greaves in the all-time scoring charts.
