Roy Hodgson has left Wembley Stadium following four hours of talks with officials from the Football Association.
The 64-year-old has emerged as the leading contender to become the new manager of England after the FA yesterday made an approach to West Bromwich Albion for his services.
It is believed that the two parties will continue discussions over the vacancy tomorrow morning.
Hodgson's contract with the Baggies is due to expire in June.
