England midfielder Dele Alli admits that he is "enjoying" the ride in Russia and hopes to continue bringing the nation together by reaching the World Cup final.

Dele Alli has said that he takes great pride from the fact that England's run deep into the World Cup is helping to reunite the nation back home.

The Three Lions head back to the Russian capital of Moscow on Wednesday evening to take on Croatia, knowing that a place in the final is up for grabs.

Alli got off the mark with his first international goal in nearly two years in the quarter-final win against Sweden, and the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is hoping that the party atmosphere continues for at least another week.

"The tournament has been unbelievable even for Russia as well, they played great they were unfortunate to go out but I think they did their country proud," he told Sky Sports News.

"But for us, it's all about the experience. We've been playing well, we're learning and we're all enjoying it. We've seen the videos from back home and it seems like the country is really coming together so we're happy to have that influence."

England last competed in the final four of the World Cup in 1990 when losing on penalties to West Germany.
