England fans have requested just 5,702 tickets for the Russia 2018 World Cup in the opening 24 hours of the second sales period.
England are presently ranked 15th for ticket requests, having made 0.4% of total applications worldwide, but the Football Association is understood to be unfazed - and is anticipating a large turnout from fans at next summer's tournament.
Russian fans are currently by far the most popular nation to apply, accounting for 66% of ticket applications, followed by Argentina, Peru, and Mexico.
Ticket sales for next year's World Cup are divided into multiple sales periods with prices ranging from £79 for the cheapest seats in group stage matches up to £829 for the most expensive seats in the final, with special £17 tickets available for local Russian fans.
The current sale period closes on January 31 before a further window opens on March 13 for three more weeks.
England begin their World Cup campaign against Tunisia on June 18, before facing Panama on the 24th and then concluding Group G by facing Belgium four days later.
