Phil Jagielka: 'Uruguay are not a one-man team'

England defender Phil Jagielka is adamant that Uruguay are not a one-man team as he feels that there is more to their game than just striker Luis Suarez.

England defender Phil Jagielka has insisted that there is more to Uruguay than just striker Luis Suarez.

The 27-year-old missed the opening game of the tournament as his side crashed to a 3-1 defeat to Costa Rica, but the Liverpool forward could make his return against the Three Lions in a must-win game for both sides.

Jagielka told reporters: "The key to keep Suarez quiet is trying to keep him as far away from the goal as possible. But I do not think Uruguay are a one-man team. It would be disrespectful to say they are putting all their hopes on Suarez.

"They are in a pretty similar situation to us now. I presume the game will be exciting and both teams need a win.

"I think confidence-wise we will have more and if the attacking boys keep playing as well as they did and take our chances, we will be looking forward to the final game of the group."

England lost their opener 2-1 to Italy and face Oscar Tabarez's side in a crunch clash on Thursday.
