Roy Hodgson has confirmed that Glen Johnson will be available for England's trip to Montenegro on Tuesday night.
The full-back missed Friday's 8-0 win over San Marino because of a toe injury and reports had claimed that it would also keep him out of the second World Cup qualifier.
However, Hodgson has insisted that the Liverpool defender was dropped as a precaution and is likely to feature in Podgorica.
"We hope it will get better in the next couple of days. If it doesn't, it might need an injection but there is no problem," said Hodgson.
"It was just a precautionary measure because I felt we had enough players without taking any unnecessary risks."
The 28-year-old has made 46 appearances for the Three Lions.
