Poland sports minister Anna Mucha has offered to step down from her post following the postponement of England's 2014 World Cup qualifier against the Poles last week.
The game, which was originally due to be played last Tuesday, was called off due to a waterlogged pitch, despite the National Stadium in Warsaw having a retractable roof.
"I feel politically responsible for the situation," said sports minister Anna Mucha. "The responsibility of the minister is not only to make sure that all procedures are followed. It's wider."
The game kicked off a day later and finished 1-1 between the two nations.
