England striker Danny Welbeck has missed training ahead of the team's World Cup opener against Italy on Saturday.
The 23-year-old is understood to have picked up a groin strain during a practice session at England's Urca military base headquarters on Tuesday.
Welbeck's availability this weekend is now in further doubt after he sat out Wednesday's session at the same venue.
The youngster has scored eight goals in 24 games for the Three Lions since he made his debut in 2011.
